This course explores the topic of unconscious bias and measures that employers and employees can take to reduce its effects and make decisions fairer and more effective.
This practice is a very real problem in modern workplaces and it is becoming increasingly apparent.
Unconscious bias if left unchecked can have an impact on recruitment decisions and have a detrimental effect on diversity and retention.
The aim of this course is to provide the learner with an understanding of what unconscious bias is and the steps that you can take to identify and where possible reduce it’s presence in the workplace.
On completion of this course learners will be able to:
- Describe what unconscious bias is
- Identify how unconscious bias can manifest itself in the workplace
- Explain some of the strategies that you can use to overcome unconscious bias
