This is an introductory guide for Managers and Professionals providing an overview of equality, why it is important to respect and celebrate individual differences and explains why the Equality Act 2010 came into force.
Our Society is made up of people from different backgrounds with different beliefs, different life experiences and different points of view. This interactive module is designed to help managers and team leaders understand why it is so important to celebrate and understand individual differences.
The aim of this course is to provide the learner with an awareness of the Equality Act 2010 and the protected characteristics covered under the Act. The key aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. The types and impact of discrimination and harassment.
On completion of this course learners will be able to:
- Understand what is meant by Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Explain the Equality Act 2010
- Identify the Protected Characteristics
- Describe Discrimination, Harassment and Victimisation
- Understand Positive Action
This module has been designed for managers and team leaders. Completing this module will give them the knowledge to introduce and manage a consistent approach to equality and diversity across the business.
This course will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
